Pathologist Assistant (Per Diem) | Ameripath | Arlington, TX
AmeriPath is one of the leading anatomic pathology practices in the
United States offering a broad range of testing and information services
used by physicians in the detection, diagnosis, evaluation and treatment
of cancer and other diseases and medical conditions. At AmeriPath, we
believe there is a patient behind every diagnosis.? AmeriPath's
extensive diagnostics infrastructure includes over 400 pathologists and
doctorate-level scientists providing services in over 40 independent
pathology laboratories and in more than 200 hospitals across the US.
The position involves gross examination, processing and digital
photography of surgical specimens ranging from biopsies to radical
oncologic resection specimens under direct and indirect supervision of
the on-call pathologist. The Pathologists Assistant will be required to
assist in frozen section and intraoperative consultations.
A positive attitude, strong communication and leadership skills and
attention to detail are a must.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Must be ASCP Certified with at least 1 year of
previous experience
This position is PER DIEM!!
Hours: 8:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturdays and Sundays
Occassional vacation coverage as well.
